Incidents
that happened since the last Board Meeting:
An
incident occurred this past week involving adult swim. There was some misinformation given to the
owners saying adult swim had been eliminated during the week. This was not the right information. Because of the change in hours of the
clubhouse, the later hour had been eliminated.
The hour from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM still stands. I have reinstructed the staff, printed the information in the
Weekender, and posted signs around the clubhouse. There should have be confusion about this in the future. I do apologize for any one that the
misinformation affected.
Teen
Lock In: There were several problems
that occurred during this event which were unfortunate, but have since been
resolved. The first thing was not
enough chaperones. The Activity
Committee has discussed this issue and have decided that in the future if they
do not have participation from the owners, events will be cancelled. The second
problem was the misconception that there was a DJ scheduled.
This
was not the case for this event. Last
year we had a DJ because an owner (who runs a DJ service) donated time and
equipment. This year we did not have
the donation.
Statements/Collections:
Since
the June Board Meeting we have collected $73,835.00 in assessments.
Gate cards will be put out this weekend for owners that haven’t paid anything on their assessments to date. I will start sending out collection letters next week to these owners.
Pool:
The pool was fixed the week prior to the Fourth of July. It only took Valley Pools approximately 4 hours to repair it and the bill came to under $1,000.
Correspondence:
I
received a letter from John Madsen Canterbury Block 6, lots 30 and 31. A copy has been enclosed in all files. Basically he would like to have a protective
shield placed on the streetlight at his corner to block some of the light from
shining on his lot. I have had numerous
requests for this and would like input from the Board regarding this issue.
Rules:
I
have had many questions regarding the guest fee change revolving around whether
or not it goes the other way too.
Meaning are parents of owners included?
Grandparents, etc. There was a
suggestion submitted this past week suggesting it would be discrimination not
to include them. This subject needs to
be discussed.
A
suggestion was also submitted regarding allotting an hour or so for children 13
and under to have the pool to themselves.
A
concern was brought to me about the dimensions stated in the rules regarding
lean-to’s. They pointed out the fact
that some golf carts can be 9’ in length and would not fit into a lean-to with
the current dimensions. Is this an area
the Board wants to address?
All materials have been purchased for the
renovation. I have had two members of
the Volunteer Club and one owner from London Town offer assistance to help with
the repairs. This project should start
next week. Thanks in advance to these
people.
There were 10 registrations that went through since the last board meeting. I know of five more lots that have been sold but having registered.
A
$100 fine has been issued to an owner in Banbury. We have major problems with their group during the Fourth of July
weekend.
Tim
Modl is still out indefinitely on a medical leave.

A
suggestion was presented that pictures of the current Board Members be
displayed in the clubhouse. What is the
reaction to this suggestion?
