Statements:

Sherwood has received approximately $85,528 since the last Board meeting $8,250 of which was for the Special Assessment.

Next week I will be sending statements and letters to owners who are behind on assessments.

Correspondence:

Letters were sent to all owners who have their lot up for sale explaining the new marker system.  We should start next week receiving calls to reserve them.

Verbally contacted an owner regarding having a Rubber Maid Shed.

Update:  Rubber Maid Shed has been taken down and a new shed is being constructed.

Verbally contacted an owner regarding having a boom truck located on his lot.

Update:  Boom Truck is being stored in the storage area.

Verbally contacted owner about having a junk car on lot.

Verbally contacted owner regarding a complaint that he was dumping gray water onto the ground.  He said it was a repair issue.  I told him it had to be repaired immediately otherwise I would issue him a $100 fine if I received another complaint.

Bill Crowley received a letter from me regarding having two trailers on his lot.  He says he’s within his rights since one is considered a tow vehicle.  I told him that I see it as two trailers on one lot which is against the rules.  He wanted me to bring this up today to get the Board’s opinion.

Phase II of the Electrical Upgrade:

The hold up for installing the new transformer in Cannock Chase apparently stemmed from the fact that Mille Lacs Electric knew we were having an issue with an owner regarding placement.  This issue has since been resolved and MLEC now has us on the schedule for installation, which should occur within the next week.

 Fines:

One fine was issued in July for lighting off fireworks on 4th of July weekend.

Rules:

Nothing at this time

Nottingham and Canterbury West Drainfields

In spite of being contacted numerous times, Greg Westerland has yet to respond.  It is time to contact someone else to come in and troubleshoot the problems with these drain fields.

I had a conversation with an owner about the Nottingham Drainfield.  This owner is a certified plumber and his opinion is there is probably a hole or several holes in the holding tank that is letting ground water in.  He has periodically checked the tanks and has noticed considerably water running into the holding tank when no water was being used in the comfort station.  He thinks the fixes that Westerland has proposed would just be temporary solutions.

I will be calling Gobles next week to see if he’s willing to inspect these drain fields and give us his opinion on what the problems could be.

Anniversary Celebration

The celebration seemed to be well attended by the owners and their guests.  Everyone seemed to have a good time.  The medallion hunt was a major success and kept people busy for hours.  I did not receive any complaints about any aspect of this event.

Pulling off an event of this size takes real teamwork and the volunteers and staff worked side by side to make it happen.
